On Feb. 28, Katy-based barbecue restaurant Mama's Texas Smokehouse temporarily closed at 20220 Katy Freeway, Unit F.
The Texas barbecue joint has relocated to the highly anticipated Lyric Market—a food hall across the street from Lyric Tower in downtown Houston’s theater district—and celebrated with a grand opening April 22.
Lyric Market, located at 411 Smith St., Houston, aims to showcase diverse food and culture, according to the venue’s website. Other eateries at the food hall include:

Mama’s menu features baked potatoes loaded with smoked meats, brisket wraps, classic sandwiches and barbecue platters. The restaurant also sells breakfast tacos and whole meats—such as ribs by the slab, sausage, brisket and whole chicken.
