The 100,000-square-foot facility is located at 2102 Elrod Road, Katy, and is the seventh eCommerce fulfillment center of the Texas-based retailer.
The Katy location is H-E-B’s first standalone eCommerce fulfillment center. This facility will primarily support H-E-B Curbside and home delivery orders in the Houston area.
E-commerce fulfillment centers stock store goods to fulfill online orders. According to the news release, the facility aims to:
- Have more capacity
- Have greater efficiency
- Have less aisle congestion for the in-store shopper
- Have better product availability
