Typhoon Texas Waterpark announced the opening of Typhoon Jr. on May 10.

The smaller version of the full-sized venue has attractions that were specifically designed for the park’s youngest guests. Its features include:
  • 10 junior-sized slides;
  • An 800-gallon miniature version of the Gully Washer; and
  • An upgraded splash pad.

During its groundbreaking in November, General Manager Matthew Girocco said Typhoon Jr. will bridge the gap between toddlers who play in the splash pad and preteens who ride the big slides.

“This gives kids the opportunity to grow up with the park, to come out year after year now that we have filled that space,” Girocco said.
