COMING SOON—A new 81-room La Quinta Inn is under construction at 27130 Hwy. 290 in Cypress, behind Lucky's Pub near Mueschke Road.

Cole Steinhoff, project manager for White Oak Builders, the construction company behind the project, said he expects construction to be finished in August. All rooms in the hotel will be standard rooms with no suites, he said.

"The hotel will have a full bar on the first floor as well as an indoor pool," Steinhoff said.
