The new, 120,000-square-foot facility offers groceries, apparel, shoes and home goods as well as dine-in eating options. The location also hosts a pharmacy, Murray’s Cheese, Starbucks and a Fred Meyer Jewelers. "We try to make each Kroger we build better than the last, so we think this is our best store in Houston," Kroger's Southwest Division President Bill Breetz said. Hot meals are prepared at the new location's bistro, sushi and deli stations, and customers will soon be able to order wine, beer and bar food from the store’s wine and beer bar. Officials hope to open the bar in several weeks after they receive the proper permits. An ongoing fundraiser with the Houston Food Bank allows shoppers to purchase pre-packaged bags of non-perishable food as donations. The food drive, which is taking place at all of Kroger's Houston locations, will last through Super Bowl Sunday. The marketplace features more than 60 shopping aisles and 20 checkout lanes, as well as a Kroger fuel station. The store is open daily from 6 a.m.—1 a.m. Pharmacy hours vary. 832-952-3179. www.kroger.com Other Impacts in the Cy-Fair area: COMING SOON—Cypress Academy will open a 38,000 square-foot Bridgeland location in late summer at 16710 House Hahl Road, Cypress.
