Houston Parks Board is still awaiting permit approvals from the city, county and Army Corps of Engineers for repairs of the M-K-T trail bridge at White Oak Bayou.

It has been closed for about six months since being damaged in a fire Aug. 19.

The bridge pilings near the north end need to be removed and replaced, and a portion of the concrete decking will have to be removed to allow for work on the abutment wall. Pedestrians and bike riders are detoured to the Heights Boulevard bridge.

Timeline: Start date TBD, 45-60 days for repair

Cost: $100,000

Funding source: Houston Parks Board
