Houston Public Works is replacing sections of pavement on Memorial Drive from Bagby to Westcott streets. A panel replacement takes out a worn section of the street, but it does not reconstruct the entire roadway or add new road features. The westbound lanes between Bagby and Shepherd Drive were complete as of February. The contractor has been working on the eastbound lanes between Shepherd and Bagby. After that phase, work will move between Shepherd and Westcott Street. Lane closures should be expected but the entire roadway should remain open throughout construction.
