Correction: A previous version of this story identified the suite number as Ste. 184, which is Mendocino Farms' hiring center. The suite number for the restaurant is Ste. 495.

A fast-casual restaurant known for its wide-ranging and seasonally-inspired menu options is slated to open in the M-K-T Heights development Dec. 14.

The fourth Houston location of Mendocino Farms will open at 600 N. Shepherd Drive, Ste. 495, Houston. The eatery specializes in sandwiches and salads that range from traditional to more adventurous options.

The menu also features grain bowls, including the new Chimichurri Steak & Shishito Bowl, made with roasted steak and ancient grains tossed with caramelized onion jam, chimichurri, baby spinach, roasted shishito peppers, broccolini, tomatoes, red onions and grilled lemon.

“We envision this new location as a go-to destination for enjoying a Mendo culinary adventure, whether it’s lunch with co-workers, dinner with family and friends, or a nourishing break for those enjoying the nearby Heights Hike and Bike Trail," CEO Kevin Miles said in a Dec. 1 statement.

Other locations of Mendocino Farms can be found in Rice Village and Uptown. A new Downtown Houston location will open in 2022.

A number of new businesses have opened in M-K-T over the past few months, including the restaurant Casa Nomad and the men's grooming business Treadwell. Patio bar Highline Park will open Dec. 3.
