Owners of the neighborhood eatery Relish Restaurant & Bar are celebrating their five-year anniversary in October and also have renovations underway to their Westheimer Road location.

The restaurant specializes in American cuisine made with Mediterranean influences. Renovations will include interior updates and new chef-inspired seasonal menu options, according to an Oct. 21 press release.

New plates on the brunch menu will include a crab cake benedict. Popular lunch items will continue to be offered alongside new salads, such as a pear salad made with bosc pears, creamy blue cheese and candied walnuts. Meanwhile, the dinner menu focuses on the cold bar and oyster program, according to the release.

Relish was founded in 2016 by Dustin and Addie Teague after the couple moved on from the fast-casual concept Relish Fine Foods.

Houston-based interior designers Meg Lonergan and Aaron Rambo were brought on to execute the interior renovations, which include adding vintage and contemporary art, greenery and plants, new lighting in the bar area, and upgraded bathrooms. A boxwood-lined patio is in the works for 2022, according to the release.

“We are very proud to have the opportunity to celebrate five years in business,” said Dustin Teague, who is also the executive chef. “It’s been an honor to serve Houstonians over the years and we are grateful for our loyal customers that support us and feel like an extension of our family."
