Sugar Land-based BlendIn Coffee Club has its eyes on a new Inner Loop location and has filed permits for renovation of a space across the street from the new Stages theater, at 3201 Allen Parkway, Houston. Owners said construction could get underway in the next month and that opening details would be shared at a later date.

The shop was founded in 2017 after owner Weihong Zhang, who has a Ph.D. in biochemistry, decided to take a science-based approach to coffee. BlendIn was recently awarded third place in the 2020 U.S. Brewers Cup Competition. Its Sugar Land location, at 8410 Hwy. 90A, Sugar Land, offers on-site coffee tastings and classes. https://blendincoffeeclub.com
