Something to note

Houston City Council members are limited to serving two terms of four years each, with each term beginning on Jan. 2. Only five members are elected At-Large, or city-wide, while the other 11 are elected to serve geographic districts.

At-Large Position 4 was previously held by Letitia Plummer, who resigned her position in July to announce her candidacy for the Harris County Judge position, which will be held during the March 3 primary elections.
