Spaghetti Western Italian Cafe will celebrate its 25 years in service July 26 with a special throwback menu and party at the Shepherd Drive location.
What's in a name
The restaurant opened in 2020 in Houston with the owners selecting the name "Spaghetti Western" after the old 1960s and 70s film genre.
According to the restaurant's website, between 1960 and 1975, European film production companies made nearly 600 westerns, which were widely produced by Italian companies, leading to fans of the genre calling them spaghetti westerns.
The company will pay homage to its Western background with a themed anniversary celebration that will include music, photo ops and throwback menu specials from 2000.

On the menu
Spaghetti Western specializes in classic Italian dishes, offering a menu of traditional pizza and pastas such as chicken alfredo, spaghetti with meat sauce and lasagna.
Additional entrees include Italian enchiladas, chicken marsala and a meatball sub, as well as appetizers such as stuffed mushrooms, fried mozzarella and bruschetta. Dessert includes tiramisu, key lime cheesecake, cannolis and a chocolate eruption.
