New menu offerings and a redesigned interior are part of the new chapter at Ostia in Montrose, a restaurant spokesperson confirmed via email May 6. The Italian restaurant on Dunlavy Street operates under Chef Travis McShane who said in a news release they took the time to listen to guests to see what would elevate the customer experience.
“Our vision is to give the main dining room a much brighter, lifted feel during lunch to match the feeling of the greenhouse that everyone loves so much,” McShane said. “To pull the airy nature feel into the main dining room, walls will be lightened with fresh paint to highlight the beauty of the live plants, original artwork and brass tones of the existing design.”

What’s on the menu
The new restaurant menu includes an expansion to the pizza and pasta sections, including Cappelletti with lobster and Canestri chicken liver ragu. As far as pizza, McShane said they expanded the offerings from 2-3 pizzas to 4-5 pizzas every day of the week. A new grill was installed in April, according to the restaurant spokesperson.
“Time and time again we were asked about pizza at night. When I opened Ostia, I really wanted pizza to be something special at lunch, but with the amount of positive feedback and demand for pizza all day, we decided to make some equipment changes and make it happen,” he said.
