The details
The restaurant, co-owned by Lisa Lee and Nick Wong, is now open on 19th Street, according to an April 16 news release. Named after chef Wong's parents, Agnes and Sherman's dishes are meant to be shared family-style, but can also be enjoyed by small parties or solo diners.
According to the release, menu highlights include a savory scallion waffle with sambal honey butter, Taiwanese disco fries and crawfish egg foo young. Other items include crispy rice cakes, fried kimchi and al pastor fried rice.

The cocktail program puts a modern spin on Asian flavors through a nostalgic diner lens, per the release. These include the Dr. Wong, made with rum, hibiscus, passion fruit, lime and spice; and the Pandan Colada with vodka, pandan leaf and coconut, per the menu.
