A modern Asian American diner is coming to the Houston Heights this spring.

In a nutshell

Agnes and Sherman is a culmination of Chef Nick Wong's nearly 20 years of restaurant experience, said a marketing representative for the incoming restaurant.

Wong and managing partner Lisa Lee plan to weave together the food genres of Asian American and diner-style eating into one at the new restaurant, representatives said. Their menu will be "whimsical, nostalgic and genre-defying" as it hopes to expand the definition of American culture through the lens of Asian American food.

Though details about specific menu items have not yet been shared, Wong showcased a pecan shrimp toast and a Taiwanese beef chopped cheese at a fall 2024 pop-up collaboration with Burger Bodega, according to an October update on Agnes and Sherman's progress towards opening.
