Two-minute impact
Comma Hospitality owns Neo, an exclusive omakase restaurant in Montrose. Now, managing partner Jeremy Truong has opened a more casual Japanese restaurant inside the Shops at Arrive River Oaks.
Kira specializes in temaki, donburi and kakigori, otherwise known as Japanese hand rolls, rice bowls and shaved ice. The menu is served a la carte, and guests are required to order meals all at once, aside from dessert.
Diners are allotted a certain amount of time to eat based on the size of the party as the space only includes a 15-seat counter bar. A single guest is allowed 75 minutes to dine, two guests get 90 minutes, and groups of three or more guests get 105 minutes.
Kira is open for dinner only from 5-11 p.m. Tuesdays through Saturdays.
The restaurant also includes a curated sound bar with a vinyl collection and record player.
