Kazzan Ramen & Bar has brought a new "volcano" ramen concept to the Heights.

The full-service restaurant and bar is known for its unique style of ramen that features thick noodles, vegetables and hot soup mixed into a 350-degree Celsius hot stone bowl. The mixture is then poured into a cylindrical top at the table causing the steam to rise from the lid and resemble a volcanic eruption.

Guests can choose from a variety of ramen options, including shio, shoyu, karamiso and sukiyaki, as well as toppings such as braised pork and marinated egg. Other menu items include kushikatsu, chicken karaage and beef don. Kazzan also offers shaved ice and craft cocktails.

The Heights location is the second restaurant in the U.S. and the first to open in Texas.
