The venue features photo spaces, a 35-foot bar, 19 big-screen TVs, a VIP lounge with bottle service, billiards, cornhole and a DJ booth. The new bar will serve domestic and imported beers, wine, and craft and specialty cocktails. The site will also be serviced by a daily rotation of local food trucks, according to a May 7 news release.
SoHou, a women-owned business, is run by Malak Maroun and Hamera Khan.
"We wanted to create a space where everyone feels like they belong, where laughter echoes off the walls and memories are made," Maroun said in a statement. "SoHou is more than just a bar; it's a community hub that captures the essence of Houston, where all are welcome and friends come together to celebrate life and all it has to offer."
The new sports lounge offers happy hour from Tue.-Fri. from 4-8 p.m., with specialty events or themed nights taking place every day of the week.
