The new cafe is part of Memorial Park's Running Complex, a major programmatic hub and access point on the south side of the park that debuted in November and is located southwest of the Kinder Land Bridge and the Cyvia and Melvyn Wolff Prairie.
Shellye Arnold is the president and CEO of the Memorial Park Conservancy.
“Vibrant introduces a new gathering space at Memorial Park, offering the community a place to enjoy nourishing, sustainable food amidst the park's natural beauty. The cafe's opening and the broader expansion of dining and recreational options in the park reflect our ongoing commitment to meet the diverse needs of all Houstonians,” Arnold said in a news release.
What's on the menu
Vibrant’s menu, available for both dine-in and takeout, is all made in-house from scratch using local, regenerative and organic ingredients, according to the news release. Guests can enjoy breakfast, lunch and dinner offerings complemented by a full-service organic-coffee program. All menu items are completely free from gluten, dairy, refined sugars, peanuts and genetically modified organisms.

A portion of the cafe’s revenue will go toward Memorial Park's conservancy efforts to maintain and preserve the park.

This year marks the centennial of Memorial Park. The Memorial Park Conservancy—which maintains and operates 1,100 of the park’s 1,500 acres—celebrated this year by hosting a free picnic March 9.
Vibrant offers fast-casual counter service daily from 7 a.m.-8 p.m., with hours adjusting seasonally to coincide with daylight hours.
