The juice bar and gluten-free kitchen concept Green Fork and Straw will open July 10 at its news location at at 3601 Westheimer Road, Houston, following the closure of a Shepherd Drive location.

Several locations of the New Orleans-based eatery have been opening around Houston since it debuted in the city in 2018, including locations in Tanglewood and in the Heights.

Green Fork is known for its health-focused menu options and its grab-and-go approach, meant to make healthy food more accessible. Options include fresh juices, smoothies and meals designed for a variety of diets, including vegan, gluten-free, paleo-friendly and keto-friendly, among others. Prepackaged meals are available for breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks, including family-sized meals, according to a June 28 news release.

The new Westheimer location, found near the Edloe Street intersection, will feature a fresh juice and blending bar. Customers at the new location can also expect more varieties of gluten-free options, organic juices and smoothies, according to the release.

“We’re out here doing what we love, and the response from the community has been so much more than I could have imagined,” owner Blair Kern said in a statement. “I am very excited to showcase our new space for our customers to enjoy. They deserve this the most.”
