The Inner Loop may not be Area 51, but Houston is gaining an alien attraction in the form of Roswell's Saloon, a new watering hole now open in Montrose at 1417 Westheimer Road, Houston.

Roswell's inhabits the space, which used to be Stone's Throw and has been transformed into a black-lit, neon-filled galaxy.

The concept for Roswell's Saloon comes from serial bar owner and restauranteur Shawn Bermudez.

“This project has been a long time coming, and I can’t wait for Houstonians to experience what we’ve created,” Bermudez said.

Other Bermudez concepts include Boondocks Bar, The Burger Joint, Pavement and Pistolero's.

Drinks on Roswell's cocktail menu have nods to either the space or Western themes of the restaurant, such as the Crop Circles cocktail, which features a homemade elote syrup topped with a crop circle formation. Also available are Lithium Crystal shots, which glow orange and are served in a vessel resembling an old space capsule. Monthly drink specials include cocktails inspired by the zodiacs.

Roswell's is open daily from 7 p.m.-2 a.m. From 7-8 p.m., the venue will offer a “sunset hour,” which will entail half-price cocktails and $2 off all wine, beer and champagne.
