Berg Hospitality Group, which last month announced two new concepts in Heights, is adding a third restaurant outpost to its 2021 plans.

NoPo Cafe, Market & Bar will open in May with a name that serves as a nod to the developing area on North Post Oak Road just outside Loop 610, where Berg Hospitality's headquarters is also based.

The restaurant will offer breakfast, lunch and dinner with a 60-seat dining room, a 10-seat bar and a market space offering locally sourced items, premade meals and pastries.

The project is a venture with Robert Clay of Clay Development & Construction, an investor in Cafe Annie, which Berg revived in 2019. The construction firm is also establishing a presence on North Post Oak.

“I’m excited to partner with him as we combine our strengths to create a fresh neighborhood dining experience for an underserved area that has seen real estate appreciation over the past year," Clay said in a news release.
