Kanpai, which means "cheers" in Japanese, offers seating for 10 and adjoins Hando at 518 W. 11th St., Ste. 500, Houston. The bar can serve both as an overflow space for guests waiting to sit at the restaurant or for people who want to enjoy a cocktail.
In addition to custom craft cocktails, Kanpai Club also serves a late-night menu with snacks such as curry waffle fries, spicy edamame and wagyu kushiaki in addition to the shareable small plates from Hando's menu.
Kanpai Club is open 4 p.m.-midnight Sunday through Thursday and 4 p.m.-2 a.m. Friday through Saturday. Happy hour is 4-6 p.m. with house cocktails half off.
