Common Bond is planning to introduce a new concept called “Common Bond On The Go,” featuring drive-thru service and grab-and-go menu offerings, at 601 Heights Blvd., Houston—the former site of Sam’s Fried Chicken & Donuts. It is tenatively slated to open May 18.
The concept will build on the cafe's current to-go efforts, offering its fresh-baked baked cookies and pastries along with to-go friendly breakfast, lunch and dinner selections. The new location will include indoor seating and an expanded patio in anticipation of relaxed COVID-19 restrictions down the line.
“Meeting the needs of our customers, employees and community is our single focus right now. They are all a part of the Common Bond family, and they need us,” owner George Joseph said in a news release.
The concept could become a much larger extension of the Common Bond brand.
