Developer MorningStar Senior Living and Hines will celebrate the grand opening of their first retirement community in Texas—MorningStar at River Oaks—with a two-day grand opening Dec. 11-12 and a public open house.
The community, located at 2315 Richmond Ave. Houston, caters to individuals who are age 55 and older. In addition to independent living, it also offers 85 assisted-living suites and 27 suites for residents with Alzheimer’s disease or other forms of dementia that require individualized care.
Resort-style amenities include a restaurant, a salon and spa, an art studio, a theater, a fitness center, a club room, an outdoor terrace and an interior landscaped courtyard, according to a press release. Rates start at $5,800 per month, according to the community website.
