Pelican Builders will break ground on its new Upper Kirby midrise project The Westmore this summer, the development company announced Feb. 6.

The midrise will bring 33 luxury residences ranging from 1,560 to 1,800 square feet, with pricing starting at $960,000. The development also includes four larger penthouses starting at $1.6 million.

The project was expected to take around 20 months to build, according to a news release.

The project's sales center opened in August at 2323 W. Main St., with sales handled by Douglas Elliman Development Marketing.

Upper Kirby has another seven-story midrise in development, the Giorgetti, which broke ground in May 2018 and is slated for move-ins this year.
