After five years of business, Fiori chef Alessio Vitale announced his leave from the restaurant.

The details

Known for being both a restaurant and a floral boutique, Fiori served authentic Italian cuisine. Popular menu items included the amatriciana, lasagna and cacio e pepe.

In an Oct. 17 social media post, Vitale announced his leave from the restaurant and its imminent closure.

“After more than five years of this incredible adventure, the time has come to move forward by taking a step back: the time to spend more moments with my family and with myself,” he wrote. “I'm ready for new challenges, just as I was when I first arrived here in Houston.”
