A new development is slated to break ground in September just outside of Loop 610 called Toy Cave. However, instead of housing people, these luxury condos are intended to house vehicles.

Byron Plant, president of Toy Cave Luxury Garage Condos, said the new development was created to meet a need in Houston for high-quality, secure storage for luxury, classic and collectible cars.

The specifics

The complex will include 56 individual garages along with a 3,400-square-foot clubhouse and car detailing center. The garages are approximately 1,500 square feet with an interior dimension of 50 feet deep and 30 feet wide, not including roughly 500 square feet of mezzanine with stairs and steel cable railings. Additional customizable garage features include:
  • Access-controlled pedestrian door
  • High-speed Wi-Fi and LED lighting
  • Sufficient electrical capacity to add an electric vehicle charging station
  • Finished and painted sheetrock walls
  • Individual HVAC system and Wi-Fi enabled thermostat
Features of the community include exclusive owner and guest access to the 24/7 clubhouse, which includes a bar, kitchen, private rooms, a billiards table and an F1 racing simulator, as well as an outdoor area with a patio and grill.

According to the website, the complex is controlled through an access gate and includes CCTV cameras throughout. The price for garages range between $839,000 and $865,000.

Toy Cave is anticipated to break ground in September with an opening date scheduled for fall 2026.
