The Montrose-based plant shop, Dirt Bag, announced a partnership with Heights-based Wolfsmiths Coffee to bring together specialty coffee and plants.

Something to note

The coffee to-go truck will be serving customers on the Montrose premises Friday-Sunday from 8:30 a.m.-6 p.m., Dirt Bag owner Jessica Cohen said in an email. While the plant shop traditionally opens at 11 a.m. on the weekends, the plant shop will now open at 9 a.m. to accommodate coffee patrons by offering seating inside the shop and on the deck.

"This collaboration highlights the vibrant and diverse culture of Houston, providing a space where community members can connect over shared interests in coffee and plants," Cohen said.

Respecting the craft

Cohen’s plant shop opened in August 2020 and sells plants, pots and dirt while partnering with local artists to sell their products in the shop, as previously reported in Community Impact.

Staff at Dirt Bag match customers with the right plant for their level of plant care experience, lifestyle and home lighting.
