San-Francisco based clothing brand Marine Layer is now open at the Highland Village shopping center in River Oaks.
The store sells sustainably and responsibly-made clothes as a certified B Corp, which is a business certification that requires meeting verified standards related to social and environmental performance.
What they offer
Marine Layer sells both men's and women's clothing inspired by coastal living including shirts, shorts, pants and dresses.
Part of its business model includes a t-shirt recycling program, called re-spun, that turns old clothes into new items using recycled materials, according to the brand's website.
Store Manager May Ramsey said they're really excited to flourish as a brand and meet new customers.
"We're really big on community, so come by and say 'hey' to us," Ramsey said.
