Two Houston-based businesses—a luxury brand boutique, and a footwear and lifestyle shop—are among the latest tenants to open in the M-K-T mixed-use development on Shepherd Drive.

A pop-up location of Frock Shop opened April 11 and will be in operation for four months at the site.

The apparel and accessory boutique offers luxury brands and ready-to-wear pieces from designers such as Xirena, Nation, Staud, Farm Rio, Ulla Johnson, ALC, Tanya Taylor and Cleobella.

Eight One opened earlier in April offering products such as headwear, footwear, apparel and accessories geared toward Houstonians and Houston culture. The business was launched in 2011 by founder Carlos De Los Santos Jr.

“Eight One is rooted in a deep passion for the vibrant culture of Houston, and we aim to deliver carefully curated goods to individuals immersed in this dynamic lifestyle,” De Los Santos Jr. said in a statement “We believe in the empowering sensation of donning your favorite custom lid or lacing up the ideal pair of sneakers—a personal journey to embrace individual style and authenticity, steering clear of conformity.”

Brands available include Eight One’s flagship brand, New Era, as well as Mitchell & Ness, Saucony, and Vans.
