Houston pet hospitality center Wag'n World will expand its day care, boarding and grooming services to a new location in the Houston Heights in early 2024.

The brand was created in 2017 by owner Nathan Rao, a former oil and gas professional who started the business in Montrose to pursue his love for dogs full-time, per a Nov. 27 press release from the company.

The new Heights location is double the size of the Montrose facility, with kennel space for more than 170 pups. The 13,200-square-foot, two-story facility includes expanded grooming facilities and an additional 9,000 square feet of outside play facilities.

Wag’n World supports several pet charities, including Harris County Pets, and facilitated its fifth annual supply drive in November to collect washed and gently used blankets, towels and bedding along with unopened and unexpired pet food and treats for dogs and cats in the Harris County facility.
