Officials with commercial real estate company Levcor announced the completion of a redesign effort at the Post Oak Plaza shopping center as well as three new tenants expected to open throughout late 2023 and the first half of 2024.

With addresses spanning 1703-1751 Post Oak Blvd., Houston, Post Oak Plaza features a mix of shops and restaurants, including Nando's Peri Peri, which opened in August, and Balboa Surf Club, which opened in September.

The redesign included modernizing and updating building facades to allow more natural light into retail spaces, adding new lighting elements, widening pathways between buildings, and landscaping work that included new trees and colorful flowerbeds, said Justin Levine, senior vice president with Levcor, in a statement.

New businesses coming to the plaza include:
  • Local Foods, a Houston-based restaurant chain that specializes in seasonal, scratch-made dishes. The new location will feature an expansive patio.
  • Arhaus, which offers artisanal and sustainably sourced furniture and home decor. Arhaus will relocate from the Centre at Post Oak into a new 22,201-square-foot space at Post Oak Plaza.
  • Saatva, a luxury mattress company. The new location will feature a 4,000-square-foot viewing room to showcase its offerings of handcrafted mattresses, home furnishings and sleep products.
The three new stores are all scheduled to open in late 2023 or in the first half of 2024, according to an Oct. 30 news release. Post Oak Plaza is now 98% leased, according to the release.
