Agenda Houston—the local, Black-owned fashion retailer—celebrated its Kirby Drive debut Nov. 11 at 3300 Kirby Drive, Unit 4A, Houston.

The sneaker and streetwear retailer can be found on the first floor of the Arrive Upper Kirby development in a 3,870-square-foot spot.

A grand opening weekend will include sales on designer apparel, and footwear and gift card giveaways every hour to randomly selected customers from noon-8 p.m. Nov. 11-12 and from 1-7 p.m. Nov. 13.

Agenda Houston continues to operate out of its location in The Galleria mall, but it no longer sells sneakers at the location after Galleria officials formed an exclusive agreement with another retailer, according to a Nov. 11 press release from Agenda. The new Upper Kirby shop is considered the company's flagship store.

In addition to limited edition and designer footwear, the new Upper Kirby store will offer a more extensive inventory of denim wear, hoodies and outerwear, shirts, backpacks, hats and accessories from emerging streetwear designers, according to the release. The shop is owned by founder and Baytown native Ken Haggerty.

New and retro sneakers are available from a variety of brands, including Air Jordan, Yeezy and Nike Air Max, among others. The new store also features a VIP Lounge to host celebrity visits. Past visitors to Haggerty's Galleria store have included rappers Stunna 4 Vegas, Sauce Walka and Don Toliver.

“This new store is really a dream come true that started for me as a kid,” Haggerty said in a statement. “I’ve had a passion for sneakers for as long as I can remember, and I love having a custom space to work with clients and cutting-edge designers to create authentic looks that represent an entire lifestyle.”
