After opening earlier this year, an official grand opening will take place Nov. 8 for a new location of No-H2O, a waterless car dry cleaning and detailing shop, at 1345 N. Shepherd Drive, Houston.

The opening will kick off a weeklong rollout officials are calling "waterless week," during which daily special events and community promotions will take place, including free exterior car washes for teachers and veterans on Nov. 9 and Nov. 11, respectively. It will run through Nov. 14.

Services at the Shepherd Drive location, which is being launched by entrepreneur Larry Ogden, include hand washing and polishing, detailing and vacuuming. Services are offered in different packages with the most intensive package providing a two-hour service that includes ceramic sealant application, wheel cleaning, crack and crevice cleaning, seat detailing, leather conditioner and sanitization, among other work.

The company, founded by former Formula One racer Emmet O'Brien, uses no water in an effort to be mindful of water shortages in the area and prevent chemicals from entering drainage systems, according to an Oct. 14 press release.
