Houston residents have the chance to shape the future of Memorial Park by taking a new survey led by the Memorial Park Conservancy.

The park is undergoing renovations outlined in its 10-year plan adopted in 2018. Those who have feedback about the park’s progress and ideas for its future are invited to fill out the Your Memorial Park survey at www.memorialparkconservancy.org. The survey closes Dec. 31.

The current master plan focuses on restoring the park’s ecological systems; reconnecting the park’s land, waterways and trails; and preserving the park's history while improving its amenities, according to the Memorial Park Conservancy.

Funded through private and public contributions, including a $70 million contribution from the Kinder Foundation, the park is undergoing renovations in its master plan that will create new trails, a new sports complex, a land bridge and a 100-acre expansion into previously inaccessible land known as the Eastern Glades.
