Engineering Camp
Ages: 6-17

Students learn the basics of engineering and can choose from six different classes.


CompuCamp
Ages: 10-17
Dates: June 6-16; June 20-30; and July 5-14
Cost: $315-$529 (per week)
Attendees learn advanced skills about computers, delving into construction, operating systems and programming.


Science Camp
Ages: 6-14
Dates: June 6-July 15
Cost:  $179-$269 (per week)
Students learn a variety of science skills including chemistry, electronics and robotics. Various classes focus on constructing robots, droids and drones.


Writing Camp
Ages: 7-18
Dates: June 6-July 15
Cost: $269-$315 per week (varies by program)
Writing camp is designed to help students improve their writing skills, including sentence structure, organization, word choice and finding a voice.


Language Camp
Ages: 6-15
Dates: June 6-10, June 13-17, June 27-July 1, July 11-15
Cost: $269 per week
Students learn the basics of Spanish and French, including vocabulary, pronunciation, verb conjugation and basic skills.


Summer Academy
Ages: 10-18

Elementary school and junior high school students choose math or communication classes to have fun and to improve their skills.

Kids receive daily instruction in an introduction to horse riding and ownership. Circle Lake Ranch owns 23 lesson horses selected for their gentle demeanor, and student interns are available to walk alongside beginner horse riders until they feel comfortable enough to ride on their own. Along with learning the basics of horse riding, students rotate through different learning centers that include lessons on horse feeding, putting equipment on horses, washing and grooming and identifying the parts of a horse. Children produce horse-related artwork and participate in a horse show on the last day of camp.

Kids with and without musical experience find out what it is like to be a rock star at School of Rock Katy’s Performance Camps. Camp Olympia is a traditional overnight summer camp for boys and girls located on Lake Livingston. The camp offers individualized scheduling with more than 40 activities including, wake boarding, horseback riding, and golf. The camp focuses on building character and values while also having fun.

Summer day camps are available at the new 25-acre water park adjacent to Katy Mills. Children can hang out at the Double T Hideout for a weeklong day camp program for kids who love water. The camp starts each week off with a swim lesson followed by games and activities.

Attendees at Sea Camp explore shipwrecks and marine ecosystems, do coastal photography, go to beach parties, take part in a research vessel trip, shark dissection and beach camping. Career-oriented camps also cover veterinary medicine, marine biology and aquatic sciences. All classes are led by Texas A&M University marine biology students.
