Quentin Wright, interim vice chancellor of academic success, gave a presentation about the new Lone Star College-Fallbrook Center, which will be part of LSC-Houston North, at the Feb. 7 LSCS board of trustees meeting. LSC-Houston North also consists of LSC-Fairbanks Center, LSC-Greenspoint Center and LSC-Victory Center. The 50,000-square-foot center, located at Fallbrook Church, is scheduled to open in spring 2020 and begin classes in the fall. The center will operate in eight-week semesters with block scheduling, smaller class sizes and reduced faculty workloads, Wright said in the presentation. He said the center will offer associate of arts and associate of science degrees as well as GEDs and certifications for logistics management, teacher education, Cisco networking and payroll assistants. "Visionary leadership of LSC-Fallbrook Center will give the people in our community an unprecedented opportunity to position themselves to make their lives better, their community better and our nation better," Fallbrook Church Senior Pastor Michael Pender said at the meeting.
