Carl Wunsche Sr. High School in Spring implements an instructional method nicknamed “The Wunsche Way.” The method is used to build an educational foundation for students at the high school to learn skills geared toward their career interests. The school opened as a career academy in 2006, serving about 1,500 students in three academies: professional, technological and medical.

Background

The campus is near Old Town Spring. The school is named after Carl Wunsche Sr., who was one of the original founders of Spring. He donated the land to Spring ISD in 1936.
