Cy-Fair ISD received a five-star rating from the office of Texas Comptroller Susan Combs for academic and financial performance, which is measured by academic progress and low relative spending.

CFISD has earned the five-star rating for four consecutive years, and it is one of 25 five-star districts to keep the designation for a second straight year, according to the district.

"We improved by 5 percentile marks upon our 2012 designation, which shows a continual commitment to sustain excellence—for the benefit of both our students and taxpayers," Superintendent Mark Henry said.
