The Fruit Salad margarita is the signature margarita on Tony’s Mexican Restaurant’s Cinco de Mayo drink menu.

Contrary to what the name suggests, these four margaritas—the Fruit Salad, the MangoPina Chamoy, the Special Michelada and the fresh Pina Colada—are offered year-round.

The Fruit Salad margarita is served in a 20-ounce glass and consists of Juarez Gold tequila, orange-flavored triple sec liqueur and margarita mix infused with mango, red and green apples, strawberries, watermelon, cantaloupe, plum and peach.

The rim is then salted, and the glass is garnished with a watermelon slice and a lime. The drink sells for $12.50.

Handcrafted by bartender Deanna Gil, the drink has become one of the restaurant’s best-sellers. “The customers tell me that they love the fruit and it’s not that strong,” Gil said through an interpreter. “I enjoy making it and mixing up the fruit.”
