Seafood is popular for Villa Roma diners.[/caption]
Villa Roma Italian Ristorante opened in the Cypress area in August serving traditional Italian dishes for lunch and dinner.
Owner Yendy Villa said the dinner service at Villa Roma has been successful since the eatery opened in August, but some lunch menu changes are being planned to entice more customers during lunch time.
The restaurant has also catered several events and has seen some interest from customers in renting out the entire venue for private parties, weddings and rehearsal dinners.
"We hosted a couple of Christmas parties with great success," Villa said.
The eatery offers a full menu all day, and a lunch menu is offered from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Some owner recommendations include the lobster capellini—a chopped lobster sauteed with garlic, white wine and tomato over angel hair pasta—and the chicken boscaiola, which is a chicken breast sauteed with garlic, capers, mushrooms, artichokes and fresh tomatoes in a sherry wine sauce.
All menu entrees are served with complimentary house salads and freshly sliced bread with bruschetta sauce.
“Customers love our bruschetta sauce,” Villa said. "We sell it by the cup."
The venue also has big plans for Valentines Day, Augilar said, including a four course dinner with romantic music and candlelight dining for $85 per couple. The meal will include one appetizer to share, one soup or salad per guest, one entree per guest and a dessert to share. The Valentine's dinner menu will be available Feb.
13-14 and the eatery will be open all day on Valentine's Day.
