Land was cleared in fall 2015 for the retail development. Since segments of the Grand Parkway were completed in February, commercial and residential developers have anticipated growth in Tomball along the Grand Parkway. According to the Grand Parkway Town Center site plan, proposed tenants include Sam's Club, Kroger Marketplace, Dick's Sporting Goods, L.A. Fitness, Cracker Barrel, Chick-fil-A, Whataburger and Petco. The site plan includes more than 370,000 square feet of retail space and 15 pad sites. Negotiations with Sam's Club and Kroger Marketplace—which have proposed locations in the center—have not been finalized, Elmore said.
