After years of planning, construction at the Fairfield Town Center is hitting its stride and moving along smoothly. An updated site plan from developer WP Glimcher identifies confirmed tenants and proposals for open spaces.
Construction will continue throughout 2016, officials said. Several buildings along the Hwy. 290 frontage road are under construction and will open in the fourth quarter of 2016. Tenants include Zoe’s Kitchen, Pei Wei Asian Diner and Chipotle. A string of shops adjacent to the existing H-E-B store will also open by the end of the year as well as several pad sites where Ubaldo’s Seafood, Lupe Tortilla and BreWingZ have committed as tenants.
Larger tenants have signed on along the back row of the center, including Party City, Ulta, Old Navy and Marshalls. These shops will be opening to customers from late 2016 through mid-2017, officials said. Many of the shops west of Marshalls are still being nailed down, and the construction timeline is to be determined. Proposed tenants include Cinemark and Ross Dress for Less.
A Rooms to Go location is also under construction and will open in May.
Upon completion, the Fairfield Town Center will provide more than 500,000 square feet of retail space and restaurant pad sites. Designs also call for pedestrian-friendly walkways and landscaping.
