Many of these commercial or residential projects were announced or in progress last year. Here’s what is happening now.
1. Food truck park Bernie’s Backyard opened in July, providing a diverse selection of food options, such as Italian cuisine, chicken tenders and burgers. By the end of 2016, the owners hope to add a banquet hall and monthly farmers market.
2. The 128-room Residence Inn by Marriott Springwoods Village was the first hotel to open in the master-planned community in November. Developed by Woodbine Development, it features a business center, meeting room, swimming pool and exercise room.
3. The 385-acre ExxonMobil campus in Springwoods Village was completed in December. The campus, which features employees from its upstream, downstream and chemicals operations, has the capacity to hold up to 10,000 employees.
4. The first phase of the CHI St. Luke’s Health Springwoods Village Hospital is slated to open in mid-January. The 23-acre hospital will include 150,000 square feet of hospital and medical office space upon completion.
5. Vintage Creek, a 70,000-square-foot mixed-use development, could house tenants by February. It consists of 75 percent office space and 25 percent retail and dining space.
6. Construction may begin on mixed-use development Hardy North Business Park this summer. The Halberdier Real Estate project is located at the southwest corner of the Hardy Toll and Riley Fuzzel roads and will feature office, retail and apartment options.

8. Two Spring hotels near the Hardy Toll Road and I-45, a Hilton Garden Inn and Hampton Inn, are expected to host its first guests in late October. The Hilton Garden Inn will offer a kitchen in each room while the Hampton Inn will feature 151 rooms and meeting rooms.
9. A 125-room Courtyard by Marriott hotel broke ground in June and is expected to open in the fall. The project is the second hotel in master-planned community Springwoods Village.
10.The 17-acre mixed-use development Augusta Woods Village is being developed on Kuykendahl Road. The 21,000-square-foot development will feature retail and office space anchored by a Wal-Mart that is expected to open in the fall.
11. Coventry Development Corporation expects to break ground on the first mixed-use office buildings in CityPlace by the end of 2016. The 268-room The Mark at CityPlace hotel is under construction and will open in Springwoods Village in late 2017.
12. The Market at Springwoods Village is set to break ground by the end of 2016. The 300,0000-square-foot retail center will be anchored by an unnamed grocery store and feature a fitness center and other retail stores.
13. Cypress Preserve Park is set to break ground sometime in 2016. The 210-acre master-planned project will feature 1 million square feet of commercial space, including industrial space, retail and hotels.
