A joint project reconstructing Seattle Street in the city of Jersey Village is slated to wrap up this summer. The project also includes water line replacement and new sewer lines for many homes in this area as well as new streetlights and sidewalks.
New streetlights were installed Jan. 23, according to the city’s website, and driveway and sidewalk removal along the north half of Seattle Street east of Carlsbad Street is scheduled to take place starting Feb. 6 with new concrete being poured Feb. 18. City officials regularly post project updates to their website and are making accommodations to ensure residents can access their homes during this time.
Community Impact previously reported the $3.3 million project would be funded by Jersey Village, Harris County Flood Control District and federal sources.
