Cy-Fair Transportation Updates

1. Hwy. 290 Project E

Officials with the Texas Department of Transportation have delayed beginning construction of the bridge designed to travel over Hwy. 290 connecting FM 1960 and Hwy. 6. Originally planned to begin this fall, construction has been pushed back to early 2016 to avoid interfering with holiday traffic, TxDOT Public Information Officer Karen Othon said. Overall progress on the highway expansion for this project—from Telge Road to North Eldridge Parkway—is roughly 41 percent complete. 2.  Grand Parkway construction

Three Grand Parkway segments under construction—37 total miles from Hwy. 290 to Hwy. 59—are still on target to be completed in the fourth quarter of 2015, with a target completion set for October. Segment F-1—a 12-mile segment from Hwy. 290 to Hwy. 249—will be a four-lane, controlled-access toll road with intermittent frontage roads.
