Harris County Precinct 4 is moving forward with a project to widen Telge Road from two to four lanes from Spring Cypress Road to FM 2920, a project that has been broken up into four different segments and also includes a joint project with Precinct 3 and the Harris County Engineering Department to widen a bridge over Little Cypress Creek. The bridge widening is slated to wrap up in September, and a construction contract is expected to be awarded for the first segment of the road widening—from Spring Cypress Road to Louetta Road—at a June 12 commissioners court meeting, Precinct 4 officials said. Actual construction should begin in the third quarter of this year. The remaining project segments have entered the design phase, officials said.
