Harris County Precinct 4 is working on a project to extend Gessner Road from Beltway 8 to West Road as a four-lane concrete pavement section in Houston. County commissioners approved a study reported by CivilTech Engineering Inc. in March allowing the project to move to the design phase. County officials have set a goal to advertise the project for construction bids in the second quarter of 2019. Construction on the $10 million project is expected to last 20 months, meaning it would open to drivers around the second quarter of 2021.
