Early voting kicks off in Jersey Village today, April 24
Incumbent C.J. Harper and Bobby Warren are campaigning for the
Jersey Village City Council Place 3 seat. Election Day is May 6 from 7 a.m.-7 p.m., but those who wish to vote early can do so at Jersey Village City Hall, 16327 Lakeview Drive, Jersey Village at the following times:
- April 24-28: 8 a.m.-5 p.m.
- April 29: 8 a.m.-1 p.m.
- May 1-2: 7 a.m.-7 p.m.
Hopdoddy Burger Bar to celebrate a grand opening April 25
The Vintage Park location will officially open Tuesday at 142 Vintage Park Blvd., Ste. A, Houston. Based in Austin, the chain specializes in freshly made craft burgers. Selections include Angus beef, Kobe beef, bison, lamb, chicken, turkey, sushi-grade tuna and black bean. Hopdoddy also offers a selection of salads, fries, beer and cocktails. The Vintage Park location partners with the Periwinkle Foundation, which seeks to help improve the lives of children and young adults with life-threatening illnesses staying at Texas Children's Hospital.

Cy-Fair Women’s Expo will take place April 27
Cy-Fair Express Network hosts its ninth annual event, featuring more than 60 local vendors with products and services. The goal for the expo this year is to get the community more involved and show the Cy-Fair area what the American Business Women’s Association and CYFEN are about. Celebrities in attendance will include “American Ninja Warrior” star Sam Sann, and Randy Lemon, The Garden Guy. 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Free. Leslie Martone to be honored at Northwest Harris County Go Red for Women Luncheon April 28
The American Heart Association welcomes over 500 red-dressed women and men to celebrate the fight against heart disease and stroke. The event is chaired by Courtney Altimore, director of business development for Memorial Hermann Cypress Hospital.
